The Landmark in Burnley has completed its £2.5million restoration project of the Grade II listed former Burnley Grammar School and is now very much open for business!

Carefully and completely restored with its original, unique features still in place, the atmosphere and history of the building is iconic.

A real landmark in the local area, the restoration was completed in two phases. The Phase 1 revamp saw the introduction of The Landmark’s business club, meeting rooms, private offices and conference facilities.

Only a 10-minute walk from Burnley Bus Station and a 6-minute walk from Burnley Central train station, The Landmark’s co-working spaces were recently named amongst the best in the UK.

More recently Phase 2 of the project has been completed, with the 1873 wing becoming Burnley’s newest event destination, hosting everything from weddings, Christmas parties and christenings, to private dining for large parties, live music and much, much more!

With hi-tech lighting and sound systems, as well as full air conditioning, the 1873 Wing boasts a number of spectacular rooms to host your event for up to 150 people.

The Atrium featuring Burnley’s only external glass lift and a spectacular set of specially commissioned glass windows, telling the story of our town, provides the perfect entrance, while The Great Hall, with its arched-braced open timber roof, is the architectural highlight of the interior.

With The Old Library retaining its original wooden panelling and headmaster’s desk from 1873, and the Elizabeth Terrace providing stunning photo opportunities, this really is a venue that has it all.

An idea which was very much born out of the Burnley Bondholders, Mark Crabtree OBE – owner of The Landmark and former Chair of the Burnley Bondholders – had a clear vision to create a physical embodiment of the Bondholders whereby young businesses and start-ups could flourish.

Known by so many as the historical home of the Burnley Grammar School, College and Night School, The Landmark is now making new history, already helping to develop businesses in Burnley and providing a truly stunning and innovative space for development of incubator businesses, business growth, tech industry support, as well as hire and use of the facilities for training providers.

Providing an experience like no other, the whole ethos of this remarkable building is to inspire and grow both as a social space for weddings and occasions, and for our local businesses. Right here in Burnley.
